WikiFold

Terms of Service

Last updated: April 14, 2025

The short version

Use WikiFold for lawful purposes. Your content is yours. AI-generated output may not be accurate — verify anything important. We can suspend accounts that abuse the service.

Who can use WikiFold

WikiFold is available to anyone who can form a binding contract in their jurisdiction. If you are using it on behalf of an organization, you agree to these terms on behalf of that organization.

Your content

You own the documents you upload and the wikis you generate. By using WikiFold, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content for the purpose of running the service — nothing more.

You are responsible for the content you upload. Do not upload documents you do not have the right to share, or content that is illegal in your jurisdiction.

Acceptable use

You may not use WikiFold to:

  • Upload or generate content that is illegal, defamatory, or violates the rights of others.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' wikis or our systems.
  • Automate requests in a way that disrupts the service for other users.
  • Resell or sublicense the service without written permission.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

AI-generated content

WikiFold uses Claude (by Anthropic) to generate wiki content from your source documents. AI-generated output can be incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading. It is your responsibility to review, verify, and take responsibility for any content you publish or act on.

We make no guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or fitness of AI-generated content for any particular purpose.

Wiki access

Wikis are accessible to anyone with the URL. By creating a wiki, you understand that anyone who obtains the link can view it. Do not put sensitive information in a wiki unless you are comfortable with it potentially being accessed by others.

Management tokens are required for destructive operations (such as deleting wikis or sources). Keep your management token confidential — anyone with it can modify or delete your wiki.

Service availability

WikiFold is provided as-is. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee it. The service may be interrupted for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We are not liable for any losses caused by service downtime.

WikiFold is currently free. If we ever introduce paid plans, we will give you reasonable notice before any changes affect your account.

Intellectual property

WikiFold, its name, logo, and the software that powers it are owned by us. These terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the right to use the service.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WikiFold and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service — including loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim (which, since the service is currently free, is zero).

Disclaimer of warranties

WikiFold is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top and notify you by email if the changes are significant. Continued use of WikiFold after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the United States.
